On the eve of the march …

I’m feeling a mixture of excited butterflies and mild panic at the moment.

Tomorrow we march through Feniton dressed in black to mark the demise of the countryside. We start at 11 o’clock at Louvigny Close, the site where 50 houses have been granted at planning inquiry against the wishes of the residents, and we end at Camp Field, a stunning field which forms the backdrop to our village. It is the site where ploughing matches are held. It is the site where the tenant farmer grows winter feed for his outdoor pig unit, with the pigs in an adjacent field. What could be more sustainable than that?
